CUPE Local 1858 supports faculty, staff, and students at Vancouver Island University (VIU).

CUPE 1858 members maintain the campus grounds and facilities, provide food, campus store, and student residence services, process university applications, handle the intake of tuition, connect students and faculty with library resources, provide IT support and printing services, program support, coordinate professional development programs, and more. CUPE members can be found in every department at VIU. Our office is in Building 460, Room 112 on the Nanaimo Campus.
